Nativity: Desert marigold is found throughout the southwestern United States, and in northwestern Mexico in the Mojave, Sonoran and Chihuahuan deserts. 

Ecology: Found on arroyo bottoms, outwash slopes, sandy plains and roadside.

Elevation: Below 5,000 ft

Size: 1-2 ft

Flowering duration: March - October, yellow flowers

Sun/Shade preference: Full sun

Foliage duration: Annual or short lived perennial
