Nativity: Hopbush is native to the Tucson Basin and can be found throughout the tropical regions of the world including Arizona, California, Florida, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico.  

Ecology: Drainages, canyonsides, and rocky slopes from Upper Sonoran Desert to desert grassland and chaparral

Elevation: 1,700 - 4,200 ft

Size: up to 10 ft tall

Flowering duration: February - October

Sun/Shade preference: Full sun

Foliage duration: Evergreen
